  1. Dont know where to start.
I have a dvd player (samsung sv-dvd 3e) and it plays vcds fine. But im having trouble playing svcd'd.When i try the picture is eratic, the sound goes out of sink and sometimes it stops and starts. So i thought ill convert my svcd's to vcd's.I have tried the header trick and the standard and non standard vcd's wont play.So i thought id try converting the files from svcd to vcd but i cant get tmpgenc to open them (unsupported format).
I suppose i should have mentioned that the files started as bins but i have extracted the mpeg2.So im assuming that the extracted mpeg2 now should be now converted to an mpeg1 or vcd but im not sure how to as tmpgenc wont open.Am i right so far or am i way of the mark?.Please help ive used about 15 disks so far.

if you can't try installing some svcd codecs
    i use free codecs(i think)
also do you have the svcd plugin for tmpgenc

  5. I have managed to get the plugin and extracted it to the tmpgenc folder.Butnow what should happen?.Ive tried opening the svcd file and it still says unsupported. Is this something to do with it being a bin file originally,i have extracted the mpeg2 frames though with isobusters,or have i got to do something else with tmpgenc?.
