  1. Ok this is weird, i have a sony dru500a shes great as far as i am concerned. How ever recent burns are proving to be a pain, let me explain.

Software used : Nero 5.5.10.0, Pinnacle instant copy and dvdx copy express. Also dvd decrypter and dvd2one.

On my lg all my discs work so far, how ever some will play on ps2 and some wont unless i use pinnacle and not Nero. But last night my mate burnt one at his place with dvdxcopy express and it worked in his ps2, so i tried and it wouldnt play, yes they are differnet dvd movies but same burner and software ? but even when i lend my dvds to my mates some work and some dont.

IS there one piece of software that is dvd friendly. I even had a series of dvds for my mate that i had to use the force dvd video mode in nero for him, HELP ?

  2. I use RecordNow and haven't had problems with a variety of players, but yes, it's a crap shoot. One thing to consider is the media itself. Are all of the burns to the same brand DVD? I've found that can make a definite difference in playability. Just a thought.

  3. Just download the latest Nero Rom from www.nero.com and that should take care of your problems. Earlier versions of Nero had bugs in them.

  5. Burn your DVD's at 1x . I have had problems with certian media and my ps2 , if I burn at 2X or higher. The 2X will work in your ps2, but you may need to turn the PS2 on and off a number of times before the PS2 will recognize the DVD.

I test all my DVD's on my PS2, before I send them to clients. If it will play in my PS2 then it will play in any player.
