Well here is my problem.
I have a few MPEG2 files which play perfectly fine in PowerDVD. When the files to SVCD, they play fine in my dvd player or in my PC.
But I am facing problems while demuxing these mpeg2 file. I am using TmpgEnc (MPEG Tools) to demux. I get only a few minutes of m2v and mp2 files.
So it appears the MPEG2 files are broken.
I tried to cut the MPEGs beyond the broken point, but Tmpgenc didn't recognise the file beyond that point (throws me an illegal stream message).
Any fix for this? Any other/better tools to cut or mux/demux?
(By the way, how come it plays in Power DVD?)

Since you apparently know where the files are corrupted, why not use the Source Range function to encode before and after the damaged part?
