I like to read the post of the other people who have the technology I have, to know how it works, problems, profits, etc.
The way to make an opinion is to listen to the two parts.
I know Ken Shin. It's very respectful, honorable, serious, formal,...He's a very good person, and he has very good feelings.
He's a person to follow, and to learn from him...He's one of the best person I know.
If this forum lose this member, this forum lose a lot.
By means of contrast the opinions of the people, one man can reach the truth...
Another way is to kill the opinion, don't permit the discursion, show only one way to see the things, like the dictatorships and the sects. (I don't say that this forum is this one)
A forum is a space where the people write their opinion. If the "forum" is a ghetto of the people of the same opinion, and the others can't express, the people will know it and the "forum" can die. I know some "forums" which are almost die, because they make it. The time put every thing in its place.

A moderator and/or administrator can make errors, all are people, all are humans, all can rectify. Please, make it, at least for the profit of your forum.

    Thank you.
    Ferraman.

    Please, Excuse my English.

This strikes me as being a lot of useless banter, and even worse, it makes little sense (probably since Enlgish is not the best language of the poster).

Kennyshin can stay or leave. The rules of this board are very adequate, (though sometimes not harsh enough in my opinion). He many know a lot, but the board won't change because of one person and a few unhappy followers, nor should it. Now that's democracy.

In any case, this place is free, and we should have nothing but THANKS for Baldrick and his mods. That's what I have for them: gratitude, not attitude.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

I doubt he is banned for this. A locked topic isn't the end of your life on a forum.

if that's the case, and this forum is truly not serving it's members, it will die off. If so, it deserves to. But until that is evident, why are we worrying about it?

If you or anyone else finds the rules here, and the way Baldrick and the moderators comport themselves, don't hang out and don't post.

    how simple can it be?

You mean this place named "Feedback" is for thanks and thanks and no suggestion and no other types of comments?

NONE of my post has been against Baldrick in any way.

And who said I were going to leave and was this a ship or country for one member to leave or not? Whether you want it or not, it makes little sense for me either to leave or to stay here. Those words simply are not appropriate for web forums for discussing technologies.

The problem here is that some people habitually attack other members on the person when they have different preferences on technological standards.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that some of the posts and posters on this forum are here purely to start confrontation with others rather than advance the overall knowledge of video and its use on media. We've just seen a -R/+R flame war and there have been Intel vs AMD flame wars before it - no one has benefited.

Some posters abuse the hospitality of the moderators on this site at the expense of those that come here to learn, or those that have learned and wish to pass on their knowledge. This is frustrating for all of us who want to see this forum progress from what it currently covers to the future technologies of tomorrow.

However, since this forum is free and we are not compelled to visit, we must accept the moderators' decisions as final and carry on as before. If we have a particular grievance it should be conducted privately and not in public, but only if we believe it will further the forum rather than our own opinions.
    Regards,

    Rob

Yes, members attack other members over what discs they use. That is human nature:
"Rock music sucks!" "No, pop music sucks!"
    "Christianity sucks!" "No, Judaism sucks!"
    "DVD+R sucks!" "No, DVD-R sucks!"
    "Communism sucks!" "No, democracy sucks!"
    "Widescreen sucks!" "No, fullscreen sucks!"
    "Evolution sucks!" "No, creationism sucks!"

The list of things poeple are willing to argue over, and never possibly hope to win, is next to endless. Once a thread/political discussions/meeting gets to this stage, all you can do is terminate it.
If you have any -specific- points to make, or questions to ask (which you don't seem to have, and anyway, all the technical information is freely available, everyting else is just opinion gained through personal experience) then feel entirely free. none of us will stop you, and anyone intersted in your thread wil reply.

As for saying my post was insulting, i'm sorry but i disagree. What i said was valid and within the acceptable use policy. them's the rules, if you don't like them, then put up with them, or start your own forum. 8)

What if some posters are trying to share information and biased moderators abuse their power to oppress it since the information is about + and not -? This is nothing new. Those loyal to AMD like to attack those that post Intel-related news and reviews.

Moderators' decisions are not final and that is why I post here on the "Feedback" forum. Is that DVDRHelp.com is against DVD+RW final? That is the only important subject here. Everyone understands and agrees that one must follow the site owner's big decisions.

Applying the rules equally to each member is also important whether one is pro-Plus or anti-Plus.

If this is a flame war, this has happened only at VCD/DVDRhelp.com to a serious degree of all the related sites around the world and why is that so? Of the tens of forums where I post information, this is the only forum I was personally attacked and my posts were in a way or another edited or oppressed by some of the moderators. I often post the same information on CDRLabs, CDFreaks, DVDPlusRW, CDRInfo, KBench, and some other English-language and Korean-language sites.

This was the starting point and people like rhegedus are talking about flame war and tgpo's talking about banning members.

I do have my own sites and forums which should be of little concern to you since I guess you cannot read any post there. And I do not allow people like you who post so many s*** for no serious reason. You just seem to repeat those to make fun of others for your own sake. I'm not telling this site has to do the same so do not complain that I mentioned how I run my sites. Examples are just there to review rather than either to mindlessly imitate or to blindedly reject.

    Kennyshin:

I think your missing a major point, no thread has been locked or edited because it supported any format over another. It was locked because the thread itself had long since stopped providing new information. Instead it threated to turn into an out right knock down drag out flame war. So it was locked. You are welcome to post ANY infomation you want on this board within the rules, which are easy to find By looking above, BUT if the thread gets out of control it will be locked. We do not often have to lock threads around here, I think its generally agreed that we do not like to. The last thing a board needs is too much moderation, but we will do our job.

I think you are mistaken in that you think people on the board are out to get you, they are not, they simply have opinions that disagree with yours.

If you have more to say on the topic please start a new one and do so, however please stop viewing everything as a personal insult or attack, so far nothing you have taken that way was intended as such that I can see.

There are plenty of +RW supporters here, and you are very welcome here. 99% of the info passed back and forth on this board is format inspecific and can be used by either + or - users.

Please provide references Kennyshin. I doubt you will find any. As for you being "personally attacked" I think you have a degree of paranoia. Someone with different opinions to you is far from being "personally attacked". I can fully believe you may be "affronted" by someone disagreeing with you but please understand the difference between that and the "intention" to insult.

The only posts of yours that have been edited have been by me and all occasions it was because you posted multiple pointless LARGE images on a thread. Multiple as in up to 10, pointless as some of the pictures showed nothing more than people walking around a trade show and you had already provided a link to the original site and LARGE in that some images were up to 100 Kb. You were told then to keep images relevant as we still have many dial-up members.

What if some posters are trying to share information and biased moderators abuse their power to oppress it since the information is about + and not -?
Please Kennyshin, references. I believe in the above thread you linked and was locked, the first post by a moderator was adam who told people to calm down the flamewar or the thread will be locked. Hardly oppression of information. The thread was locked. We lock threads that have gone out of control (e.g., a flamewar). We lock it rather than delete it so that people can still read the information in the thread.

If you still aren't getting it, please read the Forum rules / Acceptable Use Policy which you AGREE to with joining up and with every post. Whether you agree to these rules or not is a personal freedom but you will comply within the forum. This is Baldrick's place and he expects you to comply with his rules. If you don't want to, then you don't have to come.

Similarly when people come over to my house, I want them to take off their shoes. This is not a law but since it's my house, I have a right to make certain rules. It is not a matter of democracy. It is a matter of respecting the host.

Kennyshin, if you find this forum so oppressive then you are free to leave. There are no locks, there are no bars. There is NO OBLIGATION TO POST. MEMBERSHIP IS VOLUNTARY.

    Regards.
