PANASONIC just came out with a fairly cheap 5 disc DVD changer that I've seen in some stores for around $130 USD ... that's pretty darn cheap. The model number is DVD-F65K but I think the K has something to do with color. The one I saw was black and was DVD-F65K

Anyways ... this is part of the new PANASONIC line-up which was kick started with the single disc DVD player model DVD-S35S. The reason why I bring this up is because a friend of mine bought the DVD-S35S and we were very pleased to find out that it played every DVD-R we tried and many of these were made using different techniques (i.e., different software) and a few were even from stand alone DVD recorders. So based on that I would think that the DVD-F65K would perform just as well since it uses the same chipset that the S35S model uses. However I don't have the F65K nor have I tested it so I cannot comment from direct experience. However I do know it uses the same chipset and is from the same new "line" of PANASONIC players so one would assume that it would behave the same way ... but you know what they say when you assume hehehe

Also I should point out that although we did try MANY discs made in a variety of ways they were all in the DVD-R format ... not the DVD+R format.

    P.S.
BEST BUY has the DVD-F65K and I am sure that since it is PANASONIC that other stores have it too by now so why don't take some DVD+R discs to a store and test them out. But a word of advise ... BEST BUY will generally let you hook up a DVD player to a TV for testing but they get a bit snotty about it and want you to use your own A/V cables so bring a set with you. Also don't go at a high traffic time (like the weekend) or they may say they are too busy to bother doing it. BEST BUY has this DVD player for $129.99 which is the lowest price I've seen it at in a retail store.
