  1. Is there A/V syn problem in Datavideo DAC 100 ?
Do you think performance wise is it the same like Canopus ADVC 100 ?
Which one would you suggest me to purchase for DV capture and then encoding to VCD: DAC100 or ADVC 100 ?

Both perform equally well. No reports of auido/video sync problems for either unit. My suggestion is to buy the cheapest of those 2 units.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  3. Thanks for your advice. I have totally dropped the idea for going for Dazzle Hollywood DVB. Now,I have to decide between DAC100 and ADVC 100. In USA DAC100 cost US$180 whereas ADVC100 costs US$275. Whereas in India ADVC100 costs IN Rs.18700( US$381) and I have the find out the price of DAC100.

  4. Finally, I had to go for Canopus ADVC50 which costed me Indian Rs.12740/-(USD $260) whereas Datavideo DAC100 was costing IN Rs.18500/-(USD $377). I have placed an order and waiting for delivery.

  5. I got my Canopus ADVC 50 today. I tried capturing from my Analog camcorder and I was surprised at the quality of capture in DV. I could not capture in that quality earlier using Dazzle DVC II in MPEG2(8 MBPS). I have taken the right decision, Thanks to the members in this forum.
