    i have been able to make them with demuxing and then converting audio and then Studio Pro but that is a long process, and I am still using ffmpegs m2v file.

    so here is the error.. maybe you can help me just use ffmpegx (by the way it is the best interface out there)

    the file is output from an eyetv box, converted to a quicktime video.

    it plays fine on QT.

    if I open up the info box on ffmpegx it describes the file as

    [V] fileft:2 fourcc:0x10000001
    size: 352 x 240 fps:29.97 ftime:=0.0334
    audiocodec: framecopy (format=50
    chans=2 rate=44100 bits=16bps =28000
    sample=1)

    It seems that these files cause havoc all over the place for conversions to dvd (although elgato.com the makers of eyetv on their website give directions to use your interface) seem to not see it as hard of a problem.

    if you need any more details or a file I would be glad to give you one

  4. Yes, please upload a sample to some web space.

    here is a file for your testing

    it is on my FTP

    >EDITED UPON USER REQUEST<

    note: use passive firewall

    it is a 10 meg QT file of a Eyetv download.

    hope you can access it

  6. OK, I downloaded it. Seem it is a .mpg file, so you're incorrectly naming it as .mov. Change its extension to .mpg and it should work.

    You are a miracle worker major.

    I just tested the same file (quick 10 megs) and it works.

    I wonder why eyetv puts a .mov on the mpg??

    To all you EyeTV users that is the trick if you want to do anything with your files.

    Change the filetype from .mov to .mpg and you will be golden.

    Thank you again for having such a great interface.

    and also for helping me through this stupid glitch.
