  1. The title says it all. Only the +R. Apparently it's instant rebate.

  2. I assume that's $129 for 100 4x discs. Very good price IMO, to bad I just ordered online.

First Target has a sale for $1.50 each, and now this. I think we're going to see the regular nonsale prices start to fall drastically very soon.

4x -R Memorex discs are in stores too now, at $2 each in 25-packs, regular price. Disc are falling a bit in stores, but I wouldn't expect them to fall much more. However, I'd love for them to prove me wrong.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  6. I'm definitely gonna jump on these. Glad I didn't jump on the target deal now after all.....things ended up working out. Anyway, the post says this deal is good for the "WEEK"..does anyone know when the deal ends? I wanna make sure it doesn't end today or i'll have to get down to Best Buy today.

Actually, there were a few aritcles recently written saying DVD media is going to take a 10-20% price drop, while CD media increases..this will occur over the next few months...so far it appears that is going to be the case.

The Best Buy site shows the disks at the same price of $189.99..you said "apparently" it's an instant rebate..can anyone confirm if infact the deal is legit, and if infact, it is an "instant" rebate?

  10. I guess it's a good deal if it's an instant rebate and your writer uses +r. Now when are we going to see a similiar deal for -r on bestbuy?

  11. It's an instant rebate. You pay $129.99 at the register. The TDK -R DVDs are still $189.99. No rebate

Eventually, Best Buy is simply following suit vs Target. Target came in and started stocking their DVD TDK DVD+R 4X media at a much lower price then Best Buy's current deal. So Best Buy is retaliating to Target's sale with their own sale...and I gotta admit...that Best Buy deal is probably the best deal i've seen on ANY media as of yet. Some of the absolute BEST media out there..and for what...$1.30 a disk before sales tax...that's nuts and even non branded 4x media can beat that price...maybe LD or somethin..but you're talkin' pennies..for that price you gotta go with TDK.

I would like to know where these "magic" Bestbuys are located.
I have only 2 locations (here in sunny Tucson, Arizona) & neither
have ever had ANY dvd blank media ON SALE. Average prices range from 1.89 - 2.50 per disc (TDK 100 pack sells for 189.99)
There's 1 CompUSA here & the rule is if it's in the sales flyer, then it's out of stock!
Target has yet to let me down on DVD+R media so I stick with them.

  20. I purchased TDK +R media today at Bestbuy but it's made in Taiwan.
Any one has the same 'made in Taiwan' or only me?

I have the same burner (upgraded the firmware to 1.A1).
No problem burning these TDK at 4X using Stomp RecordNow Max and other software.
NOTE: I have NOT tried EZ CD with it.

They also burn fine at 4X on my Sony DRU-500A.

It seems I won't be using my A05 much anymore, since name brand +R media is much more readily available, and is on sale for lower prices than -R at BB at least (both Verbatim and TDK +R media are on sale more often and/or for lower prices at BB than their slower -R counterparts).

    FYI,

I just checked their website and the price seems to be back to $189 . I was hoping they would extend it another week as the 100pc spindles have been out of stock for several days.
