Despite being a footie fan, I can't help thinking what a miserable week it's been for the Aussie's/Kiwi's!

Nice to see the English are world beater's at something other than women's netball!

We'll see,We'll see. Wait until the final of the world cup before making rash statements like that!. there might be a few Australians and New Zealanders who will dispute the claim (maybe)

yeah, thats true man, you also beat us hands down in the average number of deaths a year from shark attacks, skin cancer, number of families with a criminal history and attacks from the mysterious "kangeroo bandit" 8)

of course, i believe our rowing team can kick your ass:P

lovely debating with you old bean!

  8. Just remember who is ranked the 2nd best country in the world by the UN whilst a certain country *cough* Britain *cough* is ranked only 14th.

I am guessing our skin cancer/shark attack deaths are probably because we have some of the world's best beaches and natural environment. Also with our great climate we aren't stuck inside because of the cold or rain.

I still stand by my theory that England never colonised Australia but New Zealand instead. You both share two main attributes: whinging and sucking at sport. :P

I hate to say it but they beat us 2-1 in the last encounter, albeit only a friendly.

So when is little Timmy Henman going to get knocked out of Wimbledon?

This is when the real rugby begins:

    http://www.rugby2003.com.au/schedule/allmatches.asp

    Pool A winners - Australia & Ireland
Pool B winners - France & Scotland (but I want Fiji to go through)
Pool C winners - England & South Africa
Pool D winners - New Zealand & Canada (no Wales? Nope )

    Quater finals:

New Zealand beat South Africa (tough one this)
    Australia beat Scotland (no, really?)
    Ireland beat France (another toughie)
    England beat Canada

    Semi finals:

    Australia beat New Zealand
    England beat Ireland

    Final:

    Australia v England

Who knows? Australia have home advantage but England would have had the easier matches - unless England lose to SA in the pool match in which case they play NZ in the QF!
    Regards,

    Rob

yeah, thats true, u aint "stuck in the cold & the rain", until of course your skin melts off or your heat bitten off. maybe it is just me, but i think that if we were to vote which of the following inconviences we would rather put up with, i suspect the results would be one sided:

    1) Wear a rain coat more often and live in uk
    2) live rain coat free, until your skin melts and some peckish shark munches on your bollox

seriously dude, australia rules, but are you not ashamed that you share the same currency as Mr Bush?

thinking on it, you aint a very imaginative lot, the Brits were the first to come up with the "SAS" (special air service), the americans followed with the seals, the welsh with with special sheep service, and your Auzzies thought "jee wizz mate, im to hot to think of a gd name, so i just nick the brits instead" so you Auzzies now have an SAS also.

So, maybe all that sun it slowly cookcin your brain cells (some ppls brain cells are WAYYYYY past the cooking phase and onto the " burnt byond recognition" phase cough pcmania cough)

    jolly good show old chap

I don't know what they tell you in the UK but the sun isnt evil neither can it melt you skin. Maybe it's so you don't feel so bad about sending your convicts to Australia whilst you were stuck with Britain

Ours is the Australian dollar, not the US dollar. Then again even if we did have the US dollar as our currency I wouldn't be ashamed. Having been to the US the people are some of the friendliest people in the world. Plus they saved our arse in WW2.

thinking on it, you aint a very imaginative lot
This coming from the country that swallows up the toilet bowl TV shows that we produce like Neighbours and Home and Away?

If it was up to me we would be a republic by now. The most annoying thing about the English are the royal family. Seriously, all the other stuff up until now has just been joking around but why, oh why do you keep them? They are the most boring, annoying people in the world!

Oh Oh!. Party's getting rough . But sriously, I don't think much of the royal family myself but if australia became a republic who do think will become president-for-life. JOHN HOWARD- now there's a scary thought

This post wasn't started to discuss the viability of the Royal Family, nor the likelyhood of Austrailia becoming a republic.

Yep, and England have one thing lacking in recent years...
    ...desire and hunger.
Something on the wane in the Austrailian team.

Yeah, but Kewell was the only one who shone, and he learnt everything he knows from the UK!
Plus, didn't you read the manual?
England lose all their friendly's and win all their competetive games (okay, the worls champions excluded!).

    Does that answer your question?

You aren't the best till you win the World Cup from us.
