  1. i've now done 62 dvd's, and i ran into my first problem - i could not get dvd decrypter or dvd2dvdr to rip Queen of the Damned - it stopped reading it after about 400mb's - im about 99% sure the DVD was faulty - but it did look and play perfect, so im not sure if it has some crazy encryptian or some new technology to disable decrypting. just wondering if anyone has tried doing that movie or has any input on this matter - thanks

I had zero problems with Queen of the Damned R1 myself when I did it some months ago. What drive did you use to rip it? Sometimes my Liteon will not like a disc and I'll have to rip it in my Burner, its rare but it happens.

  3. ripped Queen awhile back and encoded into SVCD. have u tried using smartripper.

b/w smartripper and dvddecryptor, there's usually no DVD they can't handle.

Do you have both a DVD-Rom drive and DVD R/RW drive? If so, try putting the DVD in another device than the one you're trying to use and then decrypt it.

Chances are, that after 62 dvd's your drive is failing.

    Edit:
Whoops, I didn't see your reply, but it's still a bit weird that it played fine... but maybe you didn't play the entire content of the DVD.
BTW, MSI's DVD-Rom drives aint that good, they do have problems reading some discs.
Born to frag... whoops, wrong forum. :)
