okay.. here is my problem. I am attempting to create a DVD using DVD SP and have read through all the documentation I have and still can't figure out what my problem is. I have an mpeg-1 video and mp2 audio, in the appropriate format. I placed the files in DVDSP and then burned the DVD; however, I got perfect sound, but badly pixelated, uninterpretable video. When I preview just the video, it appears to play fine; however, when I build the disc. no such luck. How can I fix this issue? Thanks! I have tried re-encoding into mpeg-2 video and still have the same problem with pixelated video. Thanks!

Two educated guesses: your video is variable bitrate; your MPEG1 video exceeds the allowed bitrate provided in the DVD spec. Of course if either of those were true, DVD Studio Pro just have given you a warning or rejected it outright.
