Kudos to Chrissyboy!

I want to take the opportunity to say Thank You to Chrissyboy. I have yet to get a DVD that works but believe I have more than gotten my $17.00 US (10 pounds UK) worth of money in customer service (emails).

Twenty years ago I was the second seat programmer for the Terminal Maneuver of the Advanced Cruise Missile for General Dynamics. Thus I understand the intricacies of debugging and troubleshooting. I also understand biting my tongue when some obnoxious customer (US Air Force) comes along and wants changes or additional features added to 250,000 lines of code.

I have read most of this Forum (great learning experience) and watched Chrissyboy solve everyone's problems. If you didn't get it solved then you didn't email him. Although there is never a "dumb" question, Chrissyboy answers them courteously, expertly and patiently.

He has taken suggestions and comments and continuously released new versions of the software. He has immediately responded to the menus issue even though that was not the purpose of the SVCD2DVDMPG+ software. Does this guy ever sleep?

Today I charge $50.00 per hour for normal telecommunications (EDI)software programming and $100.00 per hour for Troubleshooting. But I have gotten all of his expertise for a measly $17.00.

So how can we help?

Tell all your friends that author DVDs about this great software. If you haven't upgraded to the plus software, then do so. NOW!

I am very green to all of this.. normally I download for the hunt of it and just burned to s/vcd.. never even had a dvd player.. i got my standalone and my sony dru500ax all in the sameday!!

I attempted to use the free app with other authoring apps which didn't do what i needed.. decided to get the + because of Crissyboy's support and it was the best money ever spent!!!

I never bother to do anything more than gripe on a forum.

Not only did I buy the + version of this software, I have devoted a dozen hours or more to burning samples and trying out some betas for him - his commitment to this software impressed me that much.

And that sort of compliment and participation doesn't come lightly from me...

And I didn't even NEED to get the Pioneer stuff working.

I've tried many different combinations and always seem to have problems with the audio sync. This plus version made it easy for me. So far burned 5 dvd's with 2 films each and everyone a great success with my stand alone dvd.
