I have problems with some video files i add while burning. For instance, I'll add a trailer (.mov to mpg) before a movie and it will freeze video like hell even though the movie after it plays fine..
Also Im yet to have successful playback with homevideo's edited with premiere and exported as avi in PAL. I encode with TMPGENC into PAL (because I live in Australia) and i get a real bad framerate, like 1 frame every 10 secs even though audio is fine, does anyone know why this problem is occuring?

you need to be more specific about what software and settings you are using, and the properties of the files you are trying to import.
-
The files that are skipping are Usually DV AVI or MOV files encoded into mpeg-1 CBR, 25 fps, 1150 kbits/sec. Im burning them with NERO at 12X speed, using TEAC CD-R's...

ok, do the files play fine before you burn them? have you checked the dvd compatibility listings for those cd-rs? have you tried burning at a lower speed?
-
Yes playback is fine on my PC, but on the standalone dvd player this is where I get the freezing problems, I have also checked compatiblity with the cd-r's im using and they are fine.
I have tried burning at lowest speed and still no difference.
This is only happening to .MOV files and DV AVI files exported out of premiere. All other divx, xvid etc files playback 100% accurate.
