Ok, last message and a dirty word in it, so it got deleted... anyway, let me start over from stratch

    I downloaded DVDShrink 2.2 + Nero 5.5.9.14 (i know now is outdated)

I put in my original of The Transporter, used DVDShrink... its a pretty small movie, so I probably didnt have to do anything, but I deleted the foreign languages and subtitles anyway....

then I saved all the files onto my HD

then opened up Nero and selected Video DVD... it created a Video_TS and Audio_TS folders for me... i selected all the files from my HD and dragged them into the Video_TS folder.... then burned... thats it... thats all I did

then, after thats done, i put in my PC and played it.. menus, extras, everything worked PERFECT!!!

then put in my standalone DVD player and it wouldnt play... said please check disk error

so I did alot of research... and even though my dvd player is old, it suppoisidly WILL play dvdr and dvdrw....

so what am I doing wrong??? maybe its the media?? im using the dvdrw disk that came WITH my burner.... or maybe its something Im doing??

i figure I will go home tonight and download the 2.3 DVD Shrink and the newest Nero.... i was using Nero Burning ROm... is that right? or should I get Express???

or should I get a totally differnt program like Record Now Max??

really any help is apprecited... im getting confused and upset I just spent $300 on dvd burner and disks and not working.... thanks

just as u replied, i just read an old topic on how it is set at default to UDF1.05 and needs to be UDF1.02 on most older dvd players... so maybe thats the problem??

ill download the newest version of nero tonight when I get home.... or u think recordnow max is better?

well i will just download a trial version of both the newest versions of Nero and recordnow max.... then totally uninstall all the old nero and everything on my computer... install the 2 new trial versions and see if they work.... if for some reason it doesnt work (keeping fingers crossed) u have any other ideas on anything I could be doing wrong....

it seems SOOOO easy, i dont understand why im having problems.....
