Hello, I paid and downloaded SVCD2DVDMPG+ installing and running it was no drama's

Made my first movie, 3 vcd's that were bin and cue's loaded in fine, done its thing and finished.
I went to burn the vob files to dvdrw but it ended up being 4.5 gigs so is too large.

Oh also I should add I am sooo new to doing this as well, complete newbie.

ANyway looked through so MANY guides it becomes in the end nothing but confusing and frustrating.

Anyway.. i came across dvd shrink, I used that and shrinked the movie down a little so it will fit to dvdrw and it did, burnt fine etc.
Played it alittle inthe dvd player looked great, sound, picture etc.. so I thought cool that worked.

Later my son watched the movie I created and about the last quarter its jumpy as hell unwatchable, maybe where the 3rd svcd joined not quite sure.

what happened to the movie ?
Oh also I burnt it to dvdrw using nero under a guide I read somewhere forgot where something about burning it with nero under DVD-UDF

I got SVCD2DVDMPG+ because of the ease of doing all this editing, encoding whatever as I am maybe lazy and dont understand the technical guides even if some are meant to be basic.

So I think somehting is wrong I am disppointed in how the movie has turnt out, but also I tried to make another movie thats 3 svcds it begins fine then that dos promt black box thing disappears and it sits forever at demultipexing, and nothing more happens.

Also for some reason even though I HAVE chosen the destination folder to be different to the source folder the little bit of ripping or whatever it is doing/has done ends up having the files in the same place as my bins files and yes I did have and made sure I selected a different empty folder.

I am using the latest beesweet as well

i was hoping that there would be a program like this that seemed very easy and simple to use would work but seems its not

is there something else perhaps to use thats easy and where you dont need to use 3-4 different programs ? and can achieve what this program is meant too ?

one specifily for bin files ?

and perhaps one for divx.avi's ?
I have some avi files I would like to put to dvdrw some have 2 parts so be nice if they would both go onto one dvdrw without all the mucking about using so many programs and not really grasping it all

  2. Hey,

there was another person with the same problem 3 svcd would end up to big for a dvd. The person also used the bin file to extract the video&audio from.

I don't use dvdshrink so i can tell you if that was the cause off the bad end part. But you can determent if it is. By watching the vob files which svcd2dvdmpg+ created with powerdvd or windvd on you computer. If the bad end part is still there then there is nothing to do about it is in the origional mpeg files. If there isn't a problem there then it is probebly dvdshrink that made a mess of it. So then we need to get svcd2dvdmpg+ to create a dvd that fits on a dvd.

So how can you do that. I'm sorry to say i don't know the anwser to that but you might try the following:
    1. burn the cue/bin svcds to cdrw
    2. use vcdeasy to extract the mpeg file to your harddisk
    3. run svcds2dvdmpg+ again but now with the mpeg files from step 2.
    4. burn the dvd of with nero (burn video dvd)

I don't know if it works. I haven't tried burning svcds only vcds but sinds there was another problem with cue/bin svcd it might be the cue/bin

As for the avi files that is a complex problem if you want to do it right. I use: Gspot, a web site, virtualdub, tmgenc, headace, besweet, goldwave, dvd menu studio, maestro and nero. So no 1 way software to create super quality.
