Sweden seems to follow suit when it comes to digital rights and realted items. A proposition for a new law, effective from Jan 1st 2004, will it (understandably) be a felony not only to make copyrighted material available, but also to download (or otherwise get your hands on) such material.
More surprising is that it will also be a felony to "manufacture or sell products helping the user to circumvent copy protection and encryption". This sounds familiar, but I had hoped I'd not have to experience it...
The law is to help the creators of music, movies and other "cultural" artefacts get paid for their work.
I sincerely doubt that it's the creators who will see the increased income...
