Hey everyone!
Hope this is in the right place. Just got back a DVD I lent my friend to watch, The Untouchables, with Sean Connery and Kevin Costner. Figured I back this one up with the new Verbatim's I got from OD today. 15 discs for $32 with a rain check on the 2 for 1 so it was worth it. +R that say 1-4x compatible.
Couldn't rip my DVD with DVDDecrypter or Smartripper so I look at the underside of the disc and guess what...lollipop finger prints and what looks like Scotch(R) tape!!!!!!
Called my friend, "Yeah, we let the kids watch it while we were in the pool this afternoon"
After careful cleaning there are a few scratches but it is rippable and burned at an amazing 3.9X on these Verbatims.
New Rule: Don't lend out DVDs to anyone...ANYONE.
Hope no one else has been hurt this way.
Burn on!
