  1. I know that I tried this about 4-5 weeks ago and the quality in my eyes was not very good.

Has it improved? It is on scale yet with DVD2SVCD as far as SVCDs go?

    Thanks

  2. i havnt tried it yet... but i got some vob files layin around on my harddrive just waitin to be encoded to somethin... so i think ill give it a wirl. I seen another post that their exact words were that it makes "crystal clear" vcds and svcds.

  3. I have been using it this week, and it is NOT crystal clear. It is a good program for the beginner because you don't have to think or really calculate a thing except where you want to cut the mpg. I have had minor problems with it. I would like to encode the entire mpg and then cut it myself later on so I know it is a good spot instead of a blind number.

Personally I would say work with flask or others for the crystal clear image. This one is good enough for most movies and programs but not the best image.

  4. If you want better image... just install Panasonic MPeg 1 encoder plugin! Or any other Plugin encoder that you like, and then you will have your crystal clear image that your after! DVD X is a superb program!

  5. OKAY, I am new to this, so how do you install the codec to DVDx? My final mpg is not the best, but far from the worst, and I would like a better quality.

I did try it and it was really blocky at the end ot either part of the movie. And I had another problem ripping a DVD wit TV episodes from Farscape: it didn`t recognize that the source vid was not 16:9, but 4:3. The output Video was like 16:9 and didn`t look very good. I still prfer DVD2AVI and TMPEnc.
