  1. I have to admit, I'm definately a newbie at this... . I'm in need of serious help. The problem is that the guides for making VCDs are for single file movies. I want to put several videos on one VCD but I can't join them because are coded differently. I was wondering if it were possible, through anyother means, to make a VCD with multiple video files. Any and all help will be appreciated. Please be as clear and thourough as possible. Thank you all in advance!

What do you mean coded differently? Are they all VCD's? Or are they XVCD's?

  3. Ive only ever used one program for vcds and thats nero. All you have to do with nero is just drag and drop all the files(im assuming they are already in .mpg format) on to the cd. I have made plenty of vcds out of music videos ive downloaded from the net like this.

  4. Nero is one way to go (personally I think is about as useful as a bag of warm hampster crap, but that's just me ) VCDEasy also allows you to add several MPEG files to one VCD.

Each VCD can have up to 99 titles (that is seperate tracks or videos).

I'm not sure what you mean by coded differently? You can have MPEGs with different resolutions and bitrates on the same VCD. But all the MPEGs have to be supported by NSTC (or PAL/SECAM depending on where you live). What are the resolution and frate rates of your MPEG files?

  5. Nevermind, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I went ahead and merged about half of the files I was going to use with TMPGEnc. I guess I'll do the same with the rest and then author it to create seperate chapters. I think that's the easiest way to go. Thanks for your help.
