  1. My intervideo stopped playing SVCD's from my two cd-drives suddenly (worked previously fine). It still plays the mpeg2 files from hd and Windows media player plays them if I open the dat file with it..but
I'm just puzzled to why it won't play the svcd discs and it can't be my discs..this would mean all my svcd's broke up mystically in a 3 day period

I've tried re-installing INtervideo, adapctecs aspi layer....no aspi layer..forced aspi...If anyone knows what the problem is help is appreciated.

And all other cd functions work fine (burning also). I use Windows XP.
(this includes VCD playback which works fine from cd's and dvd-playback )

  2. This is what the WinDVD platinum says in the information
panel about ALL my svcd's (the tv system is wrong...the media is recognized as mpeg1 instead of mpeg2 what on earth is causing this..if it's a driver issue..I'd think a re-install of the software would help..but no)

  3. GRRRRR....I recalled I received a bundled copy of PowerDVD with
my LITE-ON dvd-rom and I installed it...well that one plays svcd's off disc normally, so I guess now I should figure out what causes the problem in WINDVD.? Anyone had similar problems ? and what solved it ?
