  1. Hi guys

i wanted to know if its possible to burn Divx movies onto a DVD disk. I have a movie in 3 parts, in a normal cd i would have to use 3 cd's to burn it. Is it possible to burn it in a single dvd disk. ifso how would I do that and which encoding software will i have to use.

    thanks

  2. if u only wanna store divx films on the disk and not that u can play them on a stand alone player, just use any program that has dvd write on it and store them as a data file that should work he he

    As data only.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

there are only a few standalone palyer which can play the format at this time. Do a search of the players and check (x) divx. Think there is one called the kiss 450, but there are supose to be several more hitting the market at the end of this year...probably christmas time. I'm intrested in getting one also.

    your milage may vary......

I've done this with mpg's but your DVD player must support playback of "raw" files however. I think it unlilely that your Sony will play raw files since Sony sticks to standards so closely.
Never tried an avi(Divx) ,but data is data,it might work?

In which case you have to convert them to DVD compliant mpeg-2 and then author the disk in DVD video format. Try reading a few of the guides listed over there <---------------------

If you have problems, come back and ask specific questions
