  1. i have looked in the guides section at the various programs to make menus but i want some users feedback, can anyone recommend a go versitile program that can make a nice looking menu i.e inclusion of thumbnails, nice fonts and the ability to customise menus fully.

    Ulead DVD Workshop lets you customize menus - thumbnails anywhere on the screen, any font you've got on your computer, any background image/sound, motion thumbnails... For DVD's. I haven't tried the menu's for VCD or SVCD.
    I just started using it, and it seems pretty advanced...

    DVD Lab - highly customizable, including an effects generator for snazzing up a menu.

  4. forget all those and try dvdit by sonic. easy and veryversatile on menus fonts thumbnails! i love being able to make my own buttons and importing them making the possibilities endless i also enjoy dolby stereo sound!

    i make my own menus for all my vcds, the easiest thing todo is to make them urself, its not as hard as u may think, and u can customise them all u want. i normally make mine by taking snapshots of the orginal dvds menus, then with a little customisation and the use of vcd easy u can simulate the menus on ur vcd, works out well but takes alot of time
