    Hi

Can anyone tell me the settings I need to select when installing the BT Wincap drivers with my Leadtek card? I've selected the capture card, but I'm not sure what to choose from the TV Tuner Model drop down box. Also, is it still possible to use the cards radio tuner with these drivers? What other software will I need?

Any help would be much appreciated

I ran BtSpy which is avalable at the same place, it created a custom profile, then I just imported it as a custom profile.
This method is the best for this driver. It helped me with both 2000XP and my old AverMedia card.

OK, so I tried to use BTSpy to create a custom card profile. The program want's the software that came with the card running, so I've tried to re-install it with the Leadtek drivers. However, windows is not letting me - if I try to install when the New Hardware Wizard pops up & point to the drivers I've downloaded from Leadtek, Windows says it can't locate them. Can't install from the original CD either, the installer seems to shut itself down & disappear when the status bar reaches 100%!

    Anybody got any ideas???

    skeets,

BTWincap has a nice feature: it allows to remove all drivers associated with the capture card. Try this and then install leadtek driver.
BTW, why don't you like the leadtek driver?

In retrospect I wish I had kept the Leadtek drivers, but I read somewhere that the BTWincap drivers would give a better capture so I thought I'd give them a go. I've already tried using the uninstall feature but I still get the same problem - when pointing Windows to the folder with the Leadtek drivers I get the 'cannot locate drivers' message. I'm sure there must be a way to re-install, but I'm stumped.

    Maybe time to re-install windows

  7. The Btwincap drivers are not worth the effort....they made my rock, stable AMD system very un-stable....

    I have to re-install Windows 2000...
