Will the black boarders on a 16:9 VCD be removed when playing on a widescreen TV so that the actual image of the film fills the screen?
Is this done by the DVD player used?
Thanks in advance.

I always do my VCD's in "full screen" - I squeeze the original, that's usually in 16:9 forma,t into VCD standard resolution (which makes all look high and thin if I just play the mpeg) and then I choose 16:9 on the telly to spread it out to the correct format. I know it's unwatchable on a regular 4:3 TV, but that doesn't matter to me. Opinions on this may vary...

Is there any way to get the best of both worlds on VCD? My movie looking fine on both of my tvs would be nice. I hear this is possible for SVCD (I think.) but VCD? Any help, as always, is GREATLY appreciated.
