  1. If I want to author a DVD and be able to choose between Dolby Digital or PCM from the menu, how do I do that in say like Ulead MF2 or DVD Lab? I'm also not 100 percent sure how to record both on the dvd. I'm not sure how to do this, but I believe it is as simple as adding both a PCM and AC3 file to the stream in say something like VirtualDubMod or TMPGenc. Any input would be appreciated as I've been unable to find anything in the posts on it.

I think you'd need an authoring app that supports multiple audio streams.

The cheapest I've been able to find is Sonic ReelDVD, and that's around $600.

That is, until Oscar adds that feature into DVD Lab....

  3. I use DVD Maestro to author and it can do this fairly easily. However, I'm not familar with DVDLab or Ulead. It's seems that you are asking two questions:

    1) How can I make the DVD with two audio streams

    2) How can I make a menu to select which stream

The first should be fairly easy to do for any authoring program (I would think). The second is much more difficult. Maestro and Scenartist are the only programs I know of (it appears ReelDVD works too) that allow you to author menus with options to select subtitle/audio/angle. Sorry

However, if you simple hit the audio button on your DVD's remote you can cycle through all audio streams. While less than idea this method does work (did it for all my xSVCDs). You can make a little intro/title screen stating this as well.

Oh, well, guess I can't win them all.

Hey, that's an idea! I had forgotten about that feature on a DVD player!

  5. Most consumer level authoring software only allows one single audio stream. Yes, reelDVD does support multiple audio streams but it's expensive.

that's why I'm hoping that Oscar can figure out how to add multiple audio streams to DVD Lab... it's the only feature I've wanted that it doesn't have.

and at $80, it's a hell of a lot cheaper....
