I was in Comp USA the other day and I saw some software on sale for like 40 bucks or so called DVD Copy Plus. I looked at the back of the box and it said "just put your dvd in and let dvd copy plus do the work! It automatically converts your dvd to a vcd to put on a 74 min cd!"
I kind of laughed when I read this.
Has anyone seen this software? Does it work? I thought conversion was supposed to be kind of complicated.
Thanks
Justin
PS I would have posted this in some other forum but this was the only one that allows me to use the word "DVD" in the message.

It is freeware for sale. The sellers acknowledge it and say you are paying forty or so dollars for their guide. If you think you can copy a DVD to a VCD by yourself or with our help, skip this one. Spend the money on your wife or girlfriend. At least you would not be a sucker than if you spent it on freeware.

Worse than that, they are distributing the freeware without the permission of the original authors. In particular, they are breaching the license agreements to VCDEasy which states that it can't be part of a commercial package... http://www.vcdeasy.org
