  1. i'm trying to convert an xvid file to VCD. im using TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc PLUS.

    - when i open the file in TMPGEnc, and try to mess with the advanced setttings, or change output file name, it crashes.

    - when i open the file in TMPGEnc PLUS, it just crashes.

i have converted DivX rips to vcd just fine, but this is my first XviD file.

i have koepi's XviD codec installed ("stable binary and stats reader"

the video plays fine, i have scanned it for freezes in VDUB mp3 freeze.

*** could i just open the xvid in vdub, and do a fast recompress to divx3, low motion? ***

    - since i can convert divx files to vcd just fine.....

open your tmpgenc and go to vfapi reader settings ..

you will see 2 avi (at least) readers listed ... raise the opendml one to +3 and the other one leave at 0
