  9. I used Easy avi splitter, split the DVD-DIVXRip into to mpegs...
Then i used VCDeasy, selected SVCD, NEw, put the first mpeg in...burned at like 2 or 3x speed..

i would recommend using tmpgenc to do the encoding it will also split the mpeg while encoding so you can do it all with 1 program
and make sure you have all the proper codecs installed ie divx, xvid

do you get video when you played the downloaded file ??
or do you not get the video with the new svcd mpeg your created??

did you convert your avi(divx) to an scvd compliant mpeg2 video stream?? ..... i would start back at the beginning take your avi extract the audio stream in vdub (compression = pcm & conversion = 44100)
then save wav....next load your avi and the new wave in tpmgenc and select a vcd/svcd template and set the option you want to use tmpgenc to split the file into 2 parts using the 'source range' option and you can use vcdeasy to burn your svcd

there are plenty of guides on how to do all this
just take 5 minutes to read them it will save you hours of aggravation in the end

    cheers
