  1. If a movie comes up with digital copyright protection when trying to play through windows media player, would that mean that it can not be backed up onto a CD-R disc? It will play through WINDVD player.

    is it a dvd? if so, then i see no problem in being able to back it up.

  3. Yes it is a DVD. I have ripped it with DVD Decrypter, and pulled the sound, but when I try to encode with TMPGEnc, I get an error message and can go no further, so thought perhaps the copyright protection had something to do with it.
