  1. How to record a WMV streamed film from the internet? I've used Camstudio but have succeeded in recording only the sound and part of the video (I've got a black screen) but not the main interview... What might be the problem? Overlay, hardware acceleration? The screen size is 160x120. It is a streamed interview on ZDNET

    Try having a look at a program called Stream Down, its designed to capture a vast array of streaming media from the 'net

    It can capture and download :

    RTSP, MMS, HTTP, RM, RAM, SMIL, ASF, ASX, WAX, MP3, WMA, WMV

    But you must be able to copy/paste the media streams URL you are trying to capture

    Once you've done that, you can use ASFTools, if you need to, to convert the WMV to an AVI to edit/play/record in virtually any software

  3. I use Streambox VCR... It works pretty well. Also try looking for a program called ASFRecorder...
