Now theres a surprise
-
Figures.
I had thought that this was settled months ago. Apparently, Sony has learned little from the long gone Betamax fiasco.
I am sure, however, that the leading edge will belong to Toshiba. Why? Because end users will want the backwards compatability of its product. As will, video outlets, who will not, want to stock 2 kinds of DVD.
I understand, that the Sony brand, is not backwards compatable.
Gee, which would you choose, especiially if you already own 500 dvds? -
knock knock who's there, did any of you actually go read the specs and playback on the sony, dah, it will play and record blu laser, red laser and playback DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD, CD, Audio DVD sounds backward compatiable to me, but anyone that spends $3800 and $40 a pop on blanks is nuts!!
