Help Growing Movie after CCE

I have ripped a few movies, not many so still am a newbie. I got this strange behavior, and I dont know how, help if you can:
I ripped using dvddecrypter (V3.1.6) to an m2v file as the movie is 2hr28min, 6.45GB, demuxed the AC3. No menus, no subs etc. Just want a simple movie.
Next, DVD2AVI (v1.76), next VFAPI reader Codec.
Next CCE2.5, a few hours with single pass VBR (3200 min to 8000 max)
then pulldown
next into dvdmaestro and here is where i discover the problem:
the original movie show to be 2:28:46 long, as does the AC3 file, but after "reductions" the movie shows to be 3:05:20!!!!!
Now the sound and movie dont match, I tried to offset, but to no avail!!
Any ideas welcome.

just a question...are u converting formats , for example , PAL to NTSC or NTSC to pal


why do u use VFAPI and not Avisynth which is faster

looks like you did pulldown on a movie you encoded at 29.97 instead of 24 /23.97

I use VFAPI, only because i started on using it! No other reason.

According to DVD2AVI the movie is 23.976 fps, NTSC, interlaced! I did a quick calc and at 23.976 fps and it having 267520 frames means its 3+hour movie, but it runs in 2:28!?

yes -- but in cce , did you encode it as 23.97 or 29.97 ?


that frame count you have is post pulldown btw - it works out perfect to 2:28 ..


267520 x .80 = 2 1/2 hours apx ..
