  1. Since this is the "OFF TOPIC" forum..I just figured I would drop a quick line on the greatest athlesticism sport in the World..the NBA! I played B-Ball for 3 years and I know enough to say that the L.A LAKERS WILL "NOT" 4-PEAT THIS YEAR! SACRAMENTO WON'T win the Championship Either....but San Antonio very well May....as well as a good shot for a team in the East! Anyone want to lose some bread..i'll be willing to take what you got via paypal...let's ball......L.A. will "NOT' 4-PEAT....BELIEVE THAT!

You mean the "QUEENS" don't you? lol.. so you're a King fan huh "MG"..that statement must of burned you up when Shaq made it. Shaq can backup those comments though..unlike CWEbb who choked up a storm in last years Western Conference Finals. Can't be considered an all-star "in my book" when you are afraid to take the big shot in the clutch. Bibby, on the other hand....he definitely earned his salary last year.

P.S. Both Sacramento and the Lakers won nail-biters last night. L.A came back from a WHOPPING 23 points down going into the fourth quarter....that's crazy...the Grizzlies really are a joke..only they could blow that type of lead. The Lakers also came back from 27 down vs. Dallas earlier in the year, and that really was nutz! Dallas has a hell of an Offense...for them to blow that lead was one of the most amazing things i've ever seen. Gotta give all the credit to L.A on that one though.

  5. Well...welll..well...just as I said..the LAKERS ARE FINISHED! They were the odds on favorite to win their 4th NBA Championship in as many years, and I said BEFORE the season, and on this very post, BEFORE the playoffs the Lakers were cooked!

Also, as I said BEFORE the playoffs..."SAN ANTONIO" has the Best shot of winning it all...and that looks extremely likely now...although matchups will be the key...depending on who wins the East.

Anyone want to give me my props? It's real easy to say a favorite as big as the Lakers would WIN their 4th in a row..as damn near everyone else expected...but "NOSTRADEFENSE" knew the real deal! lmao.....

How bout I say it in the middle of MAY? The only thing the Lakers will be doing from now until June, until this November is "gone fishin'"...it's OVER...that's O...V...E...R....too bad I couldn't get anyone on here to take money from.....but belive me when I say that I won a nice piece of change. 8)

    P.S. Don't cry Kobe.....gotta' hold that in til' you get to the LockerRoom...but that's alright....Kobe's a baller.

  8. @MovieGeek, Sac won tonight, but will have a tough time winning Game 7. Don't get me wrong, they have the ability to win against Dallas, but then San Antonio will probably bring the brooms out and sweep the floor with Sacramento.

Either way, neither team can handle the Spurs because neither team plays team defense. As a matter of fact, Dallas and Sacramento are the two biggest disgraces i've ever seen in terms of playing defense.

Don't be too concerned with Webber being out, because even if the Kings advance, and they had CWebb, they'd still get crushed by the Spurs. Defense wins championships, and unless Adelman and Nelson start coaching defense, Dallas and Sacramento will be nothing more then the annual Minnesota Timberwolves.

-Good luck to the Kings though...but trust me when I say that you won't wanna see them play the Spurs.

nice topic! i would like to say that i was very suprsied the jordan got fired!

now,, b4 i was a lakers fan! but then when they keep winning the title i started to shift and moved on to "76'ers" cuz mainly of Iverson! his so fun to watch! does anyone else think so? i mean if he didn't play i would watch any 76ers game at all! really~

So ya i'm a 76ers fan now cuz of Iverson and I was a fan of him ever since i saw him do a sick crossover on michael jordan!

I just want another team to one the championship this timE! lakers had enough of it like even if 76ers dont win its okay aslong as another team will win it... i like dallas, kings cuz ther exciting to watch... spurs are kinda boring... but i still like them.... i would feel very sorry for 76'ers if they have to play the spurs! they only have a chance if iverson has a 50 or more point night!

OOHHH KOOBBEEEE!!!!! I didn't like kobe that much b4... but when they came back from that game wher they were donw like 25points i was like "man his good!" so ya i give him credit! and also I was suprised to see him and fisher crying!!!!! when i saw that i was like laughing ahahahahah! but then realized that iTz ok cuz he must really wanted to win so bad and unlike shaq who looks like he doesnt care hahahaha! kobe plays like jordan his style and probably wants to win as bad as jordan too cuz he cried... and i never saw iverson cry but i know he wants to win as bad as anyone out ther....

also i think shaq can do a lot better! like if really wanted too and got like 200%confidenceeee! i think his unstopable! like his tall and very buff! liike whos gona stop him? seriously! he should just like ask for the ball all the time and just DUNK IT!!!!!!

  10. Just isn't the same since Michael Jordan left (the Chicago Bulls that is).

  11. @sesquim, MJ did get a raw deal. He saved the Wizards Millions of dollars in cap space dumping guys like Juwan Howard, etc. He also got the team to be contenders instead of pretenders. It's takin' teams like Dallas and Sacramento close to 7 years to get where they are now, and MJ turned Washington around in 3 years! He got a raw deal, but he'll have plenty of opportunity in New Orleans with the Hornets, or somewhere else.

As far as Phily goes, Iverson is a great player, but because of his lack of height, he has to take a much higher degree of difficulty shots. The majority of his shot selection are jumpers and that is why he has one of the worst shooting percentages of ANY guard in the NBA. Although he can be amazing, his shot selections end up killing the sixers as much as they help them. Even when he drives to the basket, if there is a dominating center inside, Iverson has to take ridiculous reverse lay-ups and contorts his body in a way that his shot is tough to block.

The sixers won't have a chance vs. the Spurs in the West because David and Tim will rip them apart. Detroit wouldn't have a chance vs the Spurs either.

The only team with SOME chance vs the Spurs would be the Nets because Jason Kidd is the best guard in the NBA and they can benefit from some good matchups in the same fashion the Spurs could. That would be a great matchup and I fully expect it will be the Nets vs. the Spurs.
Just isn't the same since Michael Jordan left (the Chicago Bulls that is).
Not is isn't because MJ was the greatest player to ever play! Another reason it isn't the same is because UNLIKE the Lakers, the Bulls NEVER got beaten by a team in MJ's dominant years. The Bulls did Lose to Orlando the year MJ came back from Baseball, but he didn't get a full season under his belt. The year after the Bulls won another Championship and were on their way to a SECOND 3-Peat!

I really wish Jordan never left for baseball because I would of loved to see the Bulls vs. the Rockets in the NBA Championship....of course the Bulls would of won, but that series could of gone 7 games.

  12. I still remember the match I saw when I was in America, Bulls vs. Spurs. All through the game the Bulls were behind, right on the buzzer Jordan hits a 3 pointer to take the game into OT. From there Bulls go on to win it.

Believe it or not I remember that game! That was long before Tim Duncan was ever in San Antonio, but at the time when the Spurs had a great team and Robinson was at his prime. MJ hit a countless amount of game winners or game tying shots at the buzzer....

I'm "almost" positive that game was during the same year the Bulls achieved the best record in NBA HISTORY at 72-10! Even people that do understand sports still are astonished at that record because even the great dynasty's of the past can't boast an unfathomable record such as a WHOPPING 62 games above .500! I can't see any team EVER getting near 70 wins again, let alone 72.

holy shit! 72-10! thats insane! so i guess da bulls of b4 were better than the lakers now.... hey defence if u were a couch which of the two would u take? jordan, kobe, shaq and iverson?

nway ya i agree iverson really has bad percentage... but i like how how he tries all the time and his exciting to watch... and ya they'r gona loose to the spurs *probably* but if they ever do win the championship this year that'b be awsome!

Ya i cant believe jordan got fireD! wat were da wizards thinking? nway george brown the phily coach said mj can take his job! so i hope he goes to the phily's ! hmm.. id love to see jordan and iverson in da same team!

  15. @sesquim...lol..yea...72-10 is INSANE! Especially when you consider the fact that many of the greatest players in NBA History were playing that season...guys like Patrick Ewing and David Robinson and Charles Barkley,...Clyde Drexler..Karl Malone....the list goes on and on.....I mean everyone of those guys I named are part of the NBA's 50 greatest players and The Bulls shredded each and every team up that year.

Now, as far as who I'd take if I were a coach....no question about it...the Greatest Ever....Michael Jordan! Shaq's the most dominant center ever and Kobe will be a great player...."Iverson" is amazing in his own right, but he's still a level below Kobe....mainly because of his height.....and Kobe's talent has just begun which is very scary for the rest of the NBA. But Kobe mimic's his game after Michael Jordan and being that MJ set his own standard and his own style...no matter what Kobe does...he'll never be as great as MJ!

How bout you? Who would you take? Don't go with your heart..go with who you think would be best for your team.

  16. Nope, that game was the next season after the 72-10 winning streak. I remember talking to one of the Bulls trainers who had the ring on (72 diamonds shaped into the bull head).
