  1. What is the size and dimensions for printing out dvd covers?

  2. The 'official' size is 185x272mm, however I find it better to print them just slightly off at 182x275mm, this insures they are long enough. The cases I get have these slots at the front of them that show through if I cut them the actual size and makes them look unprofessional. Making them slightly longer insures that those holes are covered.

    I use to use a paper cutter but then I discovered the dvd inserts over at meritline(9.99 for 50 or 14.99 for 50 glossy.) They are well worth the investment. No more cutting, just print and tear and put into case.

    Also note, I could never get a standard 8x11.5 to properly print a dvd cover. It always cut off the backside. You need either 8x14 legal size paper or A4 paper to get it on the whole page(the dvd inserts are a4 paper)


    Download coverXP pro and it gives you exact dvd cover dimensions everytime, just import your art to it and print(making sure to select the right paper sixe first)
