  1. I dont get it, i am using dvd-decriptor do Back-up a dvd, then i use dvd2avi to make a file proiect with a wav or ac3 (tryed both ways).
After this i reencode using tmpenc.

I reencode to mpg2 720*576 2323kbit/sec fulls screen (gives anamorph) and the standard sound settings (mpg1 audio layerII @ 255 kbit/sec)
this in separate streams(mp2 + m2v) then I remux them with bbmpg so i can make a even cut on 2/3 cds

    Now here it comes:

on pc it playes perfect, on dvd-stand alone, the sound stutters ?????

I made several of these xsvcd's from divx, they work fine but starting from VOB they don't , why ????

  2. you're going out of standard specs with xSVCD...anytime you go out of the boundry there's a chance that your dvd player may not support it...

have you taken a look at your dvd player in the dvd player compatibility section of this website?? may wanna check that out if you haven't...tells you if your player supports xSVCDs and under what circumstances...

stuttering audio is a classic symptom of too high of a bitrate, try lowering your bitrate and see if this occurs...perhaps, even within SVCD specs..
