  1. So, I'm trying to frameserve to TMPGenc from VirtualDub and AVISYNTH. When I load the vdr or avs file into TMPGenc it says the fie is unsupported. I have read all the required how-to's; changing the environment settings, VirtualDub's AuxSetup, etc.
No matter what TMPGenc says the file is unsupported. The original AVI and AVS files both open up into VDub with no probs.

Anybody have any idea what's going on here? I've tried all the basic stuff and need that "nothing else has worked, might as well try this" answer.

  2. I have this exact problem as well. Has anyone found a solution for it?

    Thanks

  3. Have you turned the proxy on in the registry... if not, go to your virtualdub folder and go to the aviproxy directory... then double click on proxy on and add it to the registry

TMPGEnc accept *.vdr files, at least the newer versions.
No need to rename a file.
TMPG wont accept a .avs, if you forgot to run the proxyoff.reg after using the Vdub frameserver.
Short said, if you only want to frameserve to TMPG, run proxyoff.reg
On the other hand, for frameserving to cce you will need it.
Edit: sorry, I was wrong. You need to install the handler.
