    Guys:

    I am trying to burn vcd with menus using nero 5.5 and using exactly procedures described in the "how to" guide in this site.

    My philips 711 player shows the menu, but does not allow me to selcet and play the items.

    vcd's burned without the menu play fine.

    Any thoughts?

    Nero 5.5 does not correctly author still menus. They do not work properly on most software DVD players and some hardware players.

    There is nothing that you did wrong (except for choosing Nero perhaps)...

    I strongly suggest that you try WinOnCD version 3.8 which works really well with my Philips 711.
