  1. Hi there!

I got these VCD movies have 2 sound tracks,
namely the Left speaker outputs one track (Mandarine)
and Right speaker outputs the other track (Cantonese)...

I would like to split the audio track into two tracks ... one in Mandarine and one in Cantonese, but have the same track playing in both speakers.
(you know .. one track, L & R speakers have Mandarine,
other track, L& R speaker in Cantonese)

Is there any easy way to accomplish this?
Is there any tool that can accomplish this in Mpeg Layer 2 format or AC3 format?
(Wave format is just toooooo big to handle!!!)

    Thx a million!!!

VCD only handles one audio track, and that one has to be in mp2 format. SVCD can hande 2 audio tracks, so if you reencode the video as mpeg2, demux the audio, separate the 2 stereo channels, make each separate channel "stereo" and encode as mp2 again, (one mp2 per channel).
Then multiplex you video mpeg with the two audio mpegs as SuperVideoCD.

  3. hehehe, that is true, that VCD has only one audio track.

But the creators have cheated this by having Left speaker in Language1, and Right speaker in Language2.

I'm trying to put this VCD onto a DVD,
thus I want to seperate the 2 channels into 2 different audio tracks.

Either way .. i will have to create a stereo track from a single channel (i.e. left channel sound but make it play on both speakers).

That is the part I do not know how to perform ...
