    Warez
Intellectual property (IP) that is distributed illegally. Examples are software being given away or resold without the permission of the author, serial numbers or ways to crack software that is sold (serialz or crackz), movies, music, etc.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

  3. Conquest's definition is from this site's glossery: https://www.videohelp.com/glossary#Warez

They are also discussed in the forum rules:

    Here is your original post:

"im having trouble playing burned vcds from the net. i have no problems with the ones ive purchased, but it seems when friends give me copies of movies or shows, they are a couple of seconds out sometimes even up to ten seconds out."

Downloading movies that you do not own goes against copyright law. Having your friends give you copies of movies (even if it is a copy of a movie they own) also goes against copyright law (unless they give you the original when they give you the copy).

When you post specifically about such activity, you threaten not only the integrity of this board, but also its existence. We share advice on backing up movies to VCD/DVD, and we feel that this should be a legal activity, even if the DCMA might say otherwise (depending on interpretation). When you post about copying/burning illegally obtained movies, you threaten this site's role in showing how copying movies/dvds should be considered legal Fair Use, despite the DCMA.

Not only that, but unless Baldrick is hosting this site on his own personal server, you threaten dvdrhelp's existence because his ISP may decide to deny him service because some do-gooder stumbled upon a warez post and alerted them to the "illegal" activities going on here.

Last, but not least, we're not a bunch of thieves. So we don't like to talk about stealing things.

And next time you join a forum, make sure you read the rules.

  4. let me add this:

downloading copyrighted material that you do not own violates copyright law, but i encourage everyone to enjoy the free, public domain mpegs at:
