    any of you guys know how to make a cd autorun on a mac? i know how to do it on a pc but as far as a mac... that's a different story. i don't have a mac handy so i won't be able to test it til next week. can it be done using a pc?

    I think it depends on what you're wanting it to autorun. If only iTunes then yeah that'll work. BUt I don't think you can have specific files open or and run with you pop the disk in. The closest you can get to that is if you change the settings for CDs & DVDs under System Preferences.....but I could be wrong on this. I've just never seen it done before.

    I think a Mac can autorun just about any file that it knows how to open. But I think you have to specify it when you master the HFS image, it's not just a matter of using some magic filename, so how you do it will depend on what mastering software you use.

    I would strongly discourage you from creating an autorun disc for a Mac. Mac users usually expect things to behave in a reasonably consistent manner, and Mac CDs normally do not autorun. Personally, I think adding autorun support to QuickTime was a big mistake in the first place. At least Apple made it easy to turn it on and off from the QuickTime control panel, unlike Windows which needs either add-on software or a manual registry change.
