    Hi,
    I have a DRU500AX writer.
    I installed all the softwares and it works.
    I decided to install Veritas DLA that comes with the CDRom but it doesn't work. When it is installed, as soon as I put a media in the drive, it hangs the system (says MY COMPUTER is not responding). As soon as I take out the media, the system is back to normal.

    Any idea why it does that???

    DO you have Nero installed? DLA doesn't play well with Nero.

    I own Nero, so I just went to the Ahead.de software site and downloaded InCD (Ahead/Nero's version of DLA), and use it instead - it plays well with both Nero and RecordNow.

    My pc does not like this and thats why i disabled this. After my pc boots if i click any exe file or even sneeze, it reboots without warning.
