Well I'm blacklisting Kinkos for corrupt buisness practices.
I went there today to print and laminate the Saddam cards.
The clerk told me to put them in a word document and push print. So i do that, on the computers they chage by the minute for.
It prints in black and white and i go to the clerk n tell him that i wanted color. He tells me that it's my fault and my problem because i was supposed to know to change the physical printer in print options. Mind you they didn't tell me that before or post it on a sign.
So i left n wrote them a nasty e-mails saying i'm not coming back because they don't give a shit about there customers.
So i encourage u all to find a place that cares about customers

I’m feeling bitchy so I thought I would reply to this.
Geeze, Greg. Corrupt business practice! You did not check what the default printer was and blame them. Color prints cost a lot of money at Kinko’s. Most people want black and white letter print jobs.
I bet you did not even pay them when you left. Who’s corrupt? Grow up and realize you are not the center of the universe, even in Maryland. -
Greg, you had one bad experience with Kinkos..to call that "corrupt" business practice is silly. I've had plenty of good experiences with Kinkos and even if I didn't, I would've told the person right then and there, and I damn sure wouldn't of paid for something I didn't get.
You paid for something you didn't get, and then you left. Now you feel cheated. You should of handled it in Kinkos, but don't sweat something so minor. That's really just a waste of your time. -
if this was the worse thing that happens in life ..................
kinkos has a pretty good reputation ..
(kinko's marketing dept. can PM me on where to send that HP printer now) -
Kinko's printed a brocure for me
They used ACCROBAT to lay out the files
anf a folding machine for TRI-FOLD color on a single 8.5x11 bled to the edges..It was cheap but good-looking
We redid this brocure with SPECTRA COLOR service in NEW YORK.
The original cost $250 for a thousand
the SPECTRA PEOPLE were much more professional, turned out a better brochure, but charged double!
Kinkos gave me 4 free prints while speccing the job.
Spectra made me pay for each proof! -
Greg, we all get bad experiences time to time with service as a customer.
What can you do, don't have any more to do with them. Is this simple as that if possible and sometimes we cannot do this? Some businesses are as a monopoly and there isn't anyone else to provide the service to you. Microsoft and my telephone provider, “Telstra” are examples.
The only other alternative you got is to complain or talk to them. This way may help you and this sort of thing happened to me weeks ago over a defective DVD and got a refund. Talking to them as a dissatisfied consumer got me results.
On the other hand, they may have thousands of customers and most of them are satisfied. They aren't going to worry over one person and getting angry with them won’t help you.
Some businesses do have "Feedback" from customers on their web site, does Kinko have this available?
So, Greg, try to be mature and look at the perspective of your experience and find out what went wrong and look for options. -
sounds like i over reacted.
Grr, i have problems with not being angry, i guess i got to angry.
Gotta find the middle ground. -

Shit like this happens mate, it's how you deal with it that determines the kind of person you are.
Learn from it, you'll know to complain in the store next time, and try get a refund while you're there
Worse things will happen later on in life.

I've been reading this site for info on DVD technology and I wish to thank the sponsors for providing a lot of very useful information.
As I ran across this thread, I really need to say that Greg12 got it 100% right.
A few months ago, I had a very important duplication job consisting of several thousand copies. As I looked though the finished copies, I noticed that quite a few had been smeared beyond legibility. It took almost 12 wasted hours to find all of the smeared, torn, missing and mutilated copies. Fully 10% of the copies were bad.
I complained to Kinko's head office and the rep expressed a great deal of sympathy and agreed with me that I had been badly served. Of course, I did not have to pay for the bad copies - but what about the 12 hours that it took to find them? The head office sent me a letter entitling me to priority duplicating at no additional charge to try to make it up to me.
Two weeks later, I had some more copying to do and I brought it to the manager who personally took me over to the "best machine" and we both watched as the copies came out. Once again, there were smeared copies - not as many as before - but still quite a few.
After a lot of complaining, the assistant manager acknowledged that the XEROX machines used at the Paradise Road branch in Las Vegas were old, used out-of-date technology, and were poorly maintained - at least that is my understanding of what she said.
It turns out that Office Max not only charges two cents less per copy (6 cents vs. 8 cents), they also used up-to-date XEROX machines properly maintained. With Office Max, every copy has been perfect.
As far as I am concerned, Greg12's original statement was an understatement. I couldn't have been the only person who had this problem at that branch. I can't believe that Kinko's doesn't know that old machines badly maintained won't do a good job.

Hey Greg, we got another dissatisfied customer of Kinko here.
Kinkos done something really bad and they admit blame, so you aren't the only one. Check out on the above post. -
I too have had bad dealings with kinko's. example - self serve color copier starts printing dark bands across everything coming out. only outraged insistence would get them to "go find the manager" and then even more complaining was required of me just so that I wouldn't have to pay for the ruined prints.
and in chicago, a clerk took me to the computer in the back of the store (i don't know what it was about me that made him think to do this) because he said he wanted to show me something. he double clicks on a avi file on the desktop and plays me a 2 minute clip of pornography. no f*ing joke. I was speechless. guess he thought I was "cool" or something, but what a risk for him to take, don't you think? not only to show it to a customer, but to have it on the store's HD? -
Another dissatisfied customer, you hear that, Greg.
Regards
Chris
