    Which computer DVD player software is the best???? I have burned a few VCD's and found that some software players don't run or recognize the DVD. Also do some software packages expect something (title, menu, etc) to allow it to detect and load DVD????

    WINDVD by Intervideo or Power DVD by Cyberlink, They both play everything that I have fed them. I like some features in Power DVD better, i.e pan scan. I have the Platinum version of WINDVD combined with WINDVDRecorder, which is the DVD player and also allows you to use a TV tuner. The best part it records directly to my DVD Writer in realtime.

    I prefer PowerDVD but I also have WinDVD.
