Does DVDXcopy Express let you copy a DVD9 to a DVD5, whole disc, without any compression?

    Is this accurate?

    Thanks.

  2. I believe the program will do a movie only copy and it does compress similar to DVD2one.

    Thanks for the reply.

For a person looking to buy one of the two, which one would be the best product?

    Thanks.

  4. Well you can get DVDshrink for free so I have to recommend that program first. DVD2one and DVDX Copy Express both have their good points however some say DVDX has a better picture quality (to me I don'r see that but to each his own). DVDX is fast but DVD2one is even faster.

  5. Use DVD Shrink. Its good. Only you hove to use info edit to strip the subs and extra languages first so you get a better movie. But those long ass movies 2.5 + hours you have to use DVD2one. Shrink does'nt work.

  6. I bought DVDXcopy Xpress and am very impressed with it. It rips, transcodes, and burns a DVD onto one(1) blank DVD-R disk in about an hour. I just insert the DVD into my reader, the blank into my writer, and 1 hour later I have a copy which looks pretty close to perfect. One click, wait an hour, and it is done. The only concern I have is that the company is being sued by the MPAA (for arguably having the most "dangerous" product in its class) and might end up going out of business. Xpress is only allowed 3 online (or phone-call) registrations, thus if the company folds, you'd have to consider "unethical" methods of getting Windows to recognize your purchased product as registered after a new operating system install. Other than that it is perfect IMHO.

DVDXCopy Express reencode audio I think.. this is a VERY BIG downside (if I want DTS, I WANT DTS ! )

  12. I use all 3, depends what I neeed them for, DVDxCOPY, DVD2ONE and DVDshrink, IC7 just plain takes to long, if I wanted to wait 3 hours I would just go back to DVD2DVDR using CCE to encode. I want something in less than a hour and these 3 products deliver on less than that time.

  13. for now, i mainly use IFOEdit (ripping all extra) and DVD2one to make a full disk.. i'm happy with the quality..

    Ic7 is somehow too slow

One thing to note is according to other post on this forum IC7 is slower but provides a better picture than DVD2One, DVD Shrink for example. If picture quality matters IC7 might be a better way to go if time is not an issue.

    @ Joe328

why would you strip the streams with ifoedit first?
DVD Shrink allows you to strip the streams and then choose a compression level for each vts set (if you go under custom settings)

it saves time to do it all in one app

DVDX Copy or DVDX Copy Express? Anyway have you tried loaning the copies to a friend/s and see if it plays on their player? Or take your copies to a store and try them on the players there.

monsters inc., does that not have a language/version menu 1st before getting to main menu?

so if it's just a movie only rip, that may be why it's not working

DVD95COPY just keeps getting better and better.

Latest version not as fast as DVD2ONE but has more options to play around with for the full disc mode. Highly recommended.

Just did Minority Report no problems.
