  1. How do you erase a DVD-RW? I have Nero, if that helps.

    Thanks,

Close the wizard of NERO if it comes up when you open NERO..
    Then CHOOSE NEW ...
ignore the new "job window"insteaad go to the top of the window
then go to the to p legend "RECORDER"
coose your DVD recorder under CHOOSE RECORDER..
Then, three items beneath on the same MENU----
    ERASE REWRITABLE is AVAILABLE

if your dvdrw is in the drive, you can erase it two ways..
The first just erases or makes the table of contents unreadable(QUICK ERASE)
The other (I recommend)takes an hour at 1x and erases the disc(FULL)

  3. I usually just wait until i need to use the dvd-rw.. then i just go thru the usual burn burn process until Nero prompts me that the disc is not empty and gives option to erase whatever is on it.. hit 'ok' or 'erase' and Nero erases whatever's on the disc...

other than that, i just have the -rw laying around with whatever my last 'test' project was... hope this helps.

Just take a pencil, and run the eraser over the entire surface of the DVD, and there ya go. :P
