So far the cheapest place I have come across is for just over $2/disc and that is for 2.4X.
I have heard rumors that you can get 4x for under $2/disc --- Can anyone confirm that? And where are you buying them?
Thanks!

$1.78 each if you buy the 100 pack. I use the Ritek 4x media in both my Sony DRU500ax and Pioneer 105 DVD burners.
Oh I see you're looking for DVD+R. I don't think you're going to find any 4x DVD+R for less than $3 each. Sometimes BestBuy has Verbatim 4x DVD+R on sale for $15 for five discs. -
That place only carries DVD+R that can write at 1x.
The drives you listed support the DVD-R standard and I need the DVD+R
Thanks for the quick reply.. -
Here are the places that I have found to be the cheapest:

Well the best I could come up with is a 5 pack of Verbatim 4x for $22.50.

They have some 2.4x DVD+R media here as low as $1.65 each. IMO it's not worth the difference in price to get 4x. 2.4x is not that much slower.
