  1. Just wondering where everyone is getting their best deals on DVD-R's. I use to buy them for $.70 a piece at http://www.atdiscount.com/ but it looks like the price has gone up plus I don't have a prommo code anymore. If anyone has a prommo code and a site would you be so kind as to post it, thanks.

ps. If you own a DRU500A, would you please post how the DVD-R's work in this drive...

These white-top princo DVD-R's from allmediaoutlet that i use are pretty great:
    http://www.allmediaoutlet.com/P-DVDR-4.7-GENPrinco.html

They're only 1x burning speed, but they are reliable and burn&play good.$48 for a 50 pack is pretty good.

  5. I have the Sony DRU-500A, and I buy Accu at cdrdvdrmedia.com. I've only had two coasters with Accu, and it wasn't even the media, it was caused by me. One coaster happened when I tried opened WinDVD to play an mpeg file on my computer, while I was burning a dvd. Not smart on my part!! Other than that, Accu is great!! I've also tried Verbatim with no problems, and of course the Sony dvd-r, +r work. Haven't tried any other media besides that.

  8. Thanks for the respones...

Looks like DVD-R media has spiked up quite a bit lately 6 Months ago I bought a 100 DVD-R's for $69.00, still have the receipt. Of the last 80 I burned on my DRU500A, I did not burn 1 coaster, I got 80/80. A friend told me he bought a 100 for $55.00 (not sure of his success rate), but now I can't seem to find any for less than $80.00 for a 100. I'm not into buying 500 or 1000 at a time either. Too bad maybe I'll wait a bit, but then again I wonder if the price will keep going up

    Thanks again
