I have an interlaced PAL avi. It appears that it originated from an interlaced NTSC source. It looks like whoever converted it simply cut out every sixth frame. I am assuming this, because when I step through frame by frame in VirtualDub, there is a distinct jump/jerk in the video every fifth frame.
What is the best way to fix this video? I want to make a nice, non-jerky SVCD.

Find the frames the person cut out and put them back in.
Otherwise the only other way could be to cut out every 2nd and 4th frame so it would be like having a 15fps ntsc source that would play as smooth as any 15fps video. -
Is it possible to add a frame which is a blend of or derived from the frames before and after the "gap". I though AVISynth could do something like this, but I have yet to figure that out. I have recently learned how to use AVISynth, but I don't see anything where I can blend two frames.
