Hi
I'd like to connect my LCD Projector to my DVD Player. What will provide better Quality, the S-Video Output or the Cinch?
Is a Cable with Gold Contacts better?

S-video is better than the standard composite plug, but what's cinch?
Gold contacts are used in electronics because they conduct well and don't oxidize. I don't think it'll make any difference in your case."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -
S-VIDEO is better but it is subject to inter ference from other nearby power cables.
I use composite a lot (CINCH?) so that i don't get interference..
But the final cable to the monitor (If you set accepts S-VID) couldn't affect the signal you capture
That is the spec on s - video are better, but practically sometimes harder to achieve -
If CINCH=RGB, (3 seperate connectors of RCA type, Red Green & Blue). You should use these if your projector has the corresponding inputs.

The Cinch Input is 3xcoaxial connection (1xVideo(yellow), 2x Audio (left+right, white+red).
