I am currently burning my avi to Mpegs then with Nero, placing them on a disk... but I always have to have 2 disks. Am I doing something wrong?

Basicallay for fully complain VCD you can get 80 mins of video on an 80 min CD. If you want more you can do this by lowering the encoders bitrate. but then it is no longer a VCD but and XVCD. Most DVD players will still play this kind of XVCD though. Higher bitrates tend to present more of a problem.
